In the fall semester of 2019, I worked with a partner to organize and facilitate the October Carnival at the VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.  Our responsibilities included getting volunteers, preparing games and activities, budgeting and getting necessary supplies, and facilitating the event.  This event was intended to be an inter-generational community integration activity for the Veterans and local children.  It included games, arts and crafts, food, and lots of candy!  We worked with the Recreational Therapists on staff at the VA to put on a successful carnival.
